MAKING THE WINE

The grapes were harvested by hand with a strict selection process ensuring that only the best bunches were picked. After being de-stemmed the grapes were transferred to fermentation tanks using nothing other than the force of gravity. This first, alcoholic fermentation took place at rigorously controlled temperatures, whilst malolactic fermentation took place in new French and American oak barrels in which the wine was subsequently left to rest for thirteen months, acquiring just the right touch of wood that characterises each component of the blend.

WINEMAKER’S COMMENTS

Finca Constancia Seleccion 2013 is a medium intensity deep picota cherry colour with violet hues. It is clear, bright, and powerful with abundant legs and red frult aromas raspberries and redcurrants -at first followed by balsamic aromas and notes of rosemary and pepper. It is smooth and engaging on the palate, with some tannin that make it pleasing and flavoursome.Wellstructured,with along fnishand attractive hints ofspices.

Serve at between 15 and 16oC with red meat and mature ewes milk cheeses Ready to drink upon release and until 2019.

MAKING THE WINE

Finca Constancia parcela 52 is a blend of wine that is fermented in three different ways in barrel in wooden vatsand in stainless steeltanks. In the barrel the wine ferments on its finelees for sbo months and is stirred by hand aprocess known as batonnage In the vat takes on a very special touch wood and thus some and lastly, the fermentation in stainless steel tanks adds a touch of freshness: The triple fermentation makes this a highly innovative wine that is an indulgence for special occasions.

WINEMAKER’S COMMENTS

100% verdejo from the single plot that gives to the wine its name. Characterised by ts stony soil, this plot produces a bright golden coloured wine with touches of green. It displays a broad palette of aromas, from herbaceous tones that are typical of the variety to aromas of ripe pear, peach and hints of aromaticflowers (fenneland aniseed. On the palate it is fresh, smooth and buttery. Fruit flavours dominate, with slight notes of toast coming through. The result is an elegant, long flavoursome wine.

MAKING THE WINE

This wine is made from Tempranillo grapes grown on plot 23, one of Finca Constancias most unusual plots The grapes were picked by hand and collected in small crates, Malolactic fermentation took pace in new French and American oak barrels in which the wine was subsequently left to rest for six months taking on a subtle note of wood that defines the fruity character of this Temptanillo.

WINEMAKER’S COMMENTS

The bright cherry red colour with hints ofpurple is a reminder that this isayoung wine Whilst not intensely coloured, the wine does show lightly tinted, substantial legs. The predominant aromas are fresh, of red fruits with hints of alcohol accompanied by toasty notes reminiscent of aromatic herbs, mint and liquorice. Apleasant and full bodied wine Its balanced acidity adds a touchoffreshnessthat together with the soft,fully integrated tannins produce a long, elegant finish with hints of toffee.

MAKING THE WINE

Parcela (Plot 12 lies at the far western end of the estate and is planted with Graciano grapes, which are of very high quality and are picked by hand. The vines grow on granite soll, which adds mineral notes to what is a very special graciano wine that develops its definitive character as it ages in French oak barrels for eight months.

WINEMAKER’S COMMENTS

This wine is a stunning colour typical of the Graciano grape intense red cherry with light purple hues. Its pronounced black fruit aromas together with floral notes (violets) harmonise with the mineral tones, which develop into balsamic and cocoa aromas On the palate it reveals its complexity and structure whilst the perfect balance between acidity, sweetness and tannins produces a highly elegant wine with agreat personality.

Serve at between 150 and 16ceither on its own or with red meat, lbérico cured meats.

MAKING THE WINE

The Finca Constancia vineyards lie in a rolling landscape that offers a range of different types of soil and as a result each plot is unique, with its own personality. Some of the vineyards are situated higher up others face the Sierra de Gredos to the north and others still face the Montes de Toledo in the south. The orientation ofthe vineyards and the degree to which they are exposed to the sun creates a difference between the grapes that grow in the east and those that grow in the western part of this area. Only those that grow on the east side are selected to make this wine as they ripen better are of higher quality. Altos de la Finca 2013 underwent malolactic fermentation in selected extra fine-grained, medium toast French oak barrels then was aged for 18 months in new French oak barrels.

WINEMAKER’S COMMENTS

Altos de la Finca’s personality isdefined by its glacé cherry colour, steeped in aromas of dark chocolate and cranberry that blend with those of violet coloured flowers contributed by the Syrah grapes. With a softness in the mouth reminiscent of red roses, the wine has appealing, lingering tannins and hints of caramel. A magical blend of varieties that evokes the very vineyards where the grapes are grown.

We seek to capture the essence of the grape by respecting our environment and making an honest wine with soul which shows nature and passion in a glass.

WINEMAKER’S COMMENTS

Entre Lunas is a deep picot derry colour with a volet edge. Itis clear and bright On the nose it shows a broad spectrum of aromas combining typical aromas of red and black fruits (blackberry, raspberry), ce and mineral notes alog with pleasant hints of its time spent in wood, amongst which the spicy notes stant out together with a fine smokiness in the background. It is full bodied, structured and meaty on the palate with a perfect balance of acidity and alcohol and a long, persistentfinish with soft tanninsreminiscentof chocolate and toffee.

MAKING THE WINE

We pick the grapes in September, during coalest part of the night. worth mentioning that the grapes are kept under dryice from the moment they are harvested unti they are pressed. n order to extract all the aromas from the skins the grapes are macerated at 50 Cin the press for five hours, prior to fermentation. Vie then press them gently just to extract the free-run juice. The process comes to a natural end when the parfect balance between acidity, alcohol content and sugar is achieved. The wine is kept at 0 Cright up untilit is battledso as to preserve the natural carbon dioxide produced during fermentation. The gas in Fragantia is produced during farmentation and is absolutely natural. As a result the bubbles are a perfectly integral part of the wine that makes it sparking on the palate.

WINEMAKER’S COMMENTS

Fragantia brings a touch of spring to Finca Constancia year after year, ewen though the harwest takes place in September. During the wine’s alcoholc fermentation the winery fills with intense aromas of muscatel grapes that wil lead you straight to the tanks containing the wine. The aroma is the first thing you experience: the moment you open the bottle and have been hypnotised by the fresh scent of muscatel all you can do is let yourself be completely seduced by its freshness and inebriating taste. Fragrant, light-hearted, fresh, cheerful… full of life. Fragantia 6 is light, with a low akoohol content and enormously fruity. A little bouquet of tropical fruit and a plethora of white flowers. A light, sweet wine.

SERVING AND MATCHING

Serve at 10-12 C to enjoy at its best but without excessive cold masking Fragantia’s patential. Perfect as an aperitif. A good match for pasta with wild mushrooms, risotto and blue cheese.

MAKING THE WINE

The grapes are selected in the vineyard itself when they reach optimum ripeness, thus retaining their full essence of strawberries, violets and ather flowers and the sweet, fruity touches that are so characteristic of Syrah. We harvested in September, during coolest part of the night, and the grapes were kept under dry ice fram when they were picked to they were pressed. In order to extract all the aromas oantained in the skins we macerate the grapes at 5 C in the press for five hours prior to fermentation. We then press them lightly just to abban the free-run juice. The process comes to a natural end when the perfect balance between acidity, alcohol content and sugar is achieved. The wine is kept at 0 C nght up until it is battled so as to preserve the natural carban dioxide produced during fermentation.

WINEMAKER’S COMMENTS

This low alcoholic strength rosé wine offers a unique range of aromas. It is fragrant, light-hearted, fresh, cheerful…full of life. Fragantia 9 is ight with plenty of fruit and florals Asymphony of notes af strawbemy and raspberry, with a refined sweet touch.

SERVING AND MATCHING

Serve at 10-12 C to enjoy at its best but without excessive ooid masking Fragantia’s patential. Perfect as an aperitif. A good match for seafood, white meat poultry and simple grils.

Finca Constancia is situated close to Toledo, a city with over 2000 years of history. Known as “The Imperial City “, Toledo was the home of the Spanish Royal Court during the reign of Carlos I.
It is also known as “The City of Three Cultures ” having been host to Christians, Jews and Muslims, who lived together in harmony, for centuries.
Toledo has been a World Heritage City since 1986.
Altozano is a Finca Constancia wine with firm roots in Toledo. The packaging was designed to represent the icons of the medieval city, maintain a distinct personality and enhance the sense of origin.
Altozano, means a natural elevation of the land (Toledo in Roman times was called Toletum which means “lifted up”).
Toledo has always been a cultural centre important for trade and craftsmen. The literati, horsemen and goldsmiths have populated Toledo’s streets through time and Altozano pays tribute to them.

HISTORY

Toledo was an important asset also for the large number jewellers workshops and goldsmiths. For our subtle white wine we choose these jewels as an emblem to represent the wines’ delicacy and elegance.

MAKING THE WINE

The selected grapes were picked at night so as to retain the essence of the variety, which was then extracted in the press after the grapes had macerated at a low temperature and protected from the air. Alcoholic fermentation took place in stainless steel tanks at strictly controlled temperatures. The wine was then kept on its lees for at least two months so as to produce the creaminess that is present in the finished Altozno Verdejo- Sauvignon.

WINEMAKER’S COMMENTS

Altozano is a collection of wines that give free expression to the character of the different grape varieties, the paradigm being to encapsulate the variety’s essence in a bottle. In the case of Altozano Blanco the winemaker has brought Verdejo and Sauvignon Blanc together in spectacular way, creating a deep colour with elegant greenish sparkles. An explosive marriage of delicate aromas of white flowers and exoticaromas oftropical fruit with mineral hints. Alluring on the palate with a long finish.

MAKING THE WINE

The two varieties that were going to be used to make this rosé were picked when they reached their optimum level of ripeness, the harvest taking place during the night to preserve the full panoply offruity aromas these grapes offer and drawout the dark fruits present in both the Tempranillo and the Syrah grapes. The must macerated with its skins for a limited length of time to give this Altozano Rosado its characteristic, eye-catching colour. Alcoholic fermentation took place next determining the palette offruity aromas.

WINEMAKER’S COMMENTS

Altozano Rosado 2014 is an attractive bright raspberry colour and exudes expressive aromas of red fruits with floral notes and mineral hints. It is flavoursome and powerful on the palate.

Toledan steel was very popular and used to manufacture weapons, especially swords, during the era of the Spanish Empire. Currently, Toledo’s streets are full of craft shops where you can still buy swords and daggers, which have become one of the city’s symbols.

After undergoing alcoholic and malolactic fermentation the wines personality was fine- tuned through three months ageing in French and American oak barrels.

WINEMAKER’S COMMENTS

An explosion of aromas of red fruits, vanilla and toffee underpins the character and personality of this 100% Tempranillo. Its intense violet colour is striking, whilst the aromas are reflected on the palate, with an exquisite balance of ripe jammy fruit and chocolatey tannins from the wood a smooth, pleasant wine.

WINEMAKER’S COMMENTS

The first thing you notice as you begin to taste this wine is that it is a bright, deep cherry red colour with hints of violet.On the nose there are aromas of cranberry, blackberry and blackcurrant that blend harmoniously with notes of sweet spice (cinnamon and vanilla) that come from the toastiness to which the wine is exposed during its months of ageing in barrel. Delicate on the palate it shows ripe fruit, soft, integrated tannins and a sweet, pleasant aftertaste that are an invitation to carry on enjoying it.

Serve at 15-16°C. An ideal wine to serve with cod, charcoal-grilled meat, mature cheese and oriental food.

The empranillo grape adds freshness, but without losing any of the elegance that is typical of Syrah. The grapes express themselves in floral aromas (violets along with aromas of wild rose petals blackberries, plums and balsamic, whilst the wine is immediately smooth on the palate with a perfect balance of sweetness and acidity.

The defining features of the 2015 harvest were a dry winter and a hot summer, which meant that the vines grew at an even pace. Véraison began in the first week of July for the earliest variety used in the blend, Sauvignon Blanc, whereas the Verdejo grapes turned colour at the end of the month. The low temperatures in August helped the grapes to concentrate the fruit and floral aromas that evoke the freshness of the different varieties.

MAKING THE WINE

Alcoholic fermentation took place in stainless steel tanks at strictly controlled temperatures. The wine was then kept on its lees for at least two months so as to produce the creaminess that is present in the jammy finished Altozano Verdejo-Sauvignon.

WINEMAKER’S COMMENTS

Bright yellow with greenish hues and enticing aromas of white fruits with delicious pastries and honey tones, reveal a smooth and greedy mouth leaving a caress on the palate.

Serve at between 8 and 10ºC as an aper with pasta with mushrooms, with risotto and with blue cheese.
